Celebrations in the communities of Daughters of Wisdom and Montfort Missionaries, Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – On 1st October, 2016 – the day of the feast of Saint Theresa of Child Jesus and Saint Face – there were three celebrations in the community chapel of Saint Mary of Canapé Vert in Port-au-Prince. They were:
-The first religious profession of Sr. Landie Mazard, fdls
-The perpetual profession of Bros. Jean Didereau Duger, smm and Wilson Charles, smm, and
-The jubilee of 60 years of religious life of Msgr. Frantz Colimon, smm, bishop emeritus of Port-au-Prince.
The Eucharistic celebration, presided by Msgr. Quesnel Alphonse, smm, bishop of Fort-Liberty, was an important celebration for the Montfortian Province in Haiti as it marked the closing ceremony of the year of tercentenary of the death of Father de Montfort.
On 7th October, 2016, i.e., the week after the celebrations, on the day of Our Lady of the Rosary, our confreres, Jean Didereau and Wilson have been ordained deacons by Msgr. Frantz Colimon, smm in the chapel of Scholastics at La Plaine.
