Renewal of Vows of Bro. Benjie and Bro. Arnel - News Updates - Montfort Missionaries Philippines

Last August 15, 2013, in the Mass to celebrate the feast of the Assumption of Mary, two of our Filipino scholastics renewed their religious vows, namely: Bro. Benjie A. Notarte, SMM and Bro. Arnel V. Pagaduan, SMM. It was held in the Scholasticate Chapel in New Manila, Quezon City. Fr. Paul Arnel L. Lucero, SMM, the Delegation Superior, presided the Holy Eucharist together with 6 other Montfortian Priests as concelebrants. Our younger Collegian brothers were there also to witness the celebration.

In his homily, Fr. Paul stressed to the two brothers on becoming truly ‘Liberos’ in their day to day life. He challenged them and the entire assembly to become ‘Liberos’ according to the mind of our founder St. Louis de Montfort in his Prayer for Missionaries (PM 7-12) as they live out their evangelical counsels of Poverty, Obedience and Chastity. Moreover, he invited them to take Mary as their model of virtue and self-giving to God’s plan, to remain faithful and persevering with the same values that have always been at the heart of a true Montfortian-Religious.

After the celebration, a simple dinner was shared in the community.
