PHILIPPINES: Silver Jubilee of Religious Profession of Fr. Ariel and Fr. Richard

The first two Filipino Montfortians, Fr. Ariel Aquino, SMM and Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM celebrated their Silver Jubilee in religious life last May 30, 2013. A thanksgiving Mass was celebrated and presided by Fr. Paul Arnel Lucero, SMM, Delegation Superior, at Sta. Teresita Parish in West Rembo, Makati City. In his homily, Fr. Richard recalled how God has been merciful to him and Fr. Ariel, accompanying them in their ups and downs in the 25-year journey in religious life. God has just been so kind and merciful, so gracious and faithful to them.
After the Holy Eucharist there was a “Dinner for a Cause”.  It was a dinner reception aimed at raising funds for the seminarians of the Delegation.  After the meal, the Montfortians and the parishioners sang and danced for the entertainment of the visitors who generously gave donations for the financial needs of the formation houses. The Delegation is so grateful to God for the gift of vocations of Fr. Ariel and Fr. Richard, to the people who made the activity very successful, meaningful and memorable, and to all the generous donors and benefactors whose financial help is well appreciated.
