Priestly Ordination of Fr. Sherwin, Fr. Rene and Fr. Santiago

On April 6, 2013, our three deacons Rev. Sherwin Nuñez, SMM, Rev. Rene Bustillo, SMM and Rev. Santiago Casing were ordained priests by His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, D.D., Archbishop of Manila. The Holy Mass started at 5 in the afternoon with around twenty concelebrant priests mostly Montfortians. The celebration was also graced by the presence of Fr. Joseph Dwi, SMM, Assistant of the Superior General. In his homily, the Cardinal highlighted the fact that three are chosen by God to serve the Church in the Presbyteral Order and as Montfort Missionaries not because they are worthy but simply because of the mercy and love of God. After Communion, the Delegation Superior, Fr. Paul Arnel Lucero, gave a short message and also announced the assignments of the three newly ordained priests.
The thanksgiving Masses of the three was held last April 7 in Fr. Rene’s place in Indang, Cavite; last April 10 in Fr. Santiago’s birthplace in Tiburiao, Bukidnon, tomorrow April 13 in Fr. Sherwin’s native place in Lapulapu City, Cebu and on April 14 at the Montfort Mission House in Minglanilla, Cebu.
