ROME, Italy - This morning, we continued our tour through the entities of old Europe with its wealth, but also with its poverty, its fears and its uncertainties. A common reality among the seven European entities is the presence of oversea confreres from Madagascar, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, the DRC, Haiti and Malawi.
VROENHOF, Netherlands - On April 28, we celebrated the feast of Saint Montfort in the community of Vroenhof. This year's feast was a little different because of the arrival of Fr. Sintus DEPA, SMM. Besides Fr. Charles LETA, SMM and myself, he is the 3rd young Montfortian from Indonesia in the Netherlands. Fr. Wim PEETERS, SMM is currently in the Netherlands on holiday and was therefore also able to attend the celebration in Vroenhof. Also present were Sr. Petronilla Groot, fdls and the staff of our two communities (Vroenhof and Schimmert). Their presence really gave a different colour and atmosphere to the feast...
PONCHÂTEAU, France – Monday, May 1, 2023 has been chosen by the Ecclesiastical Province of Western France as a day of prayer for vocations. The choice of the place of the nine bishops for this historical event fell on the Calvary of Pontchâteau. In a superb day of grace, 3,500 faithful have arrived since in the morning with their bishops and priests. In the Hall of the Temple, the dioceses had set up their stands as well as the Montfortian Family, to present the variety and the beauty of the different vocations...
To tell all that Fr. Angelo VITALI, SMM, made us relive with his testimony of commitment to the poor, young drug addicts, AIDS patients and in prisons, is impossible. This demand from young people: "tell us about death" which killed our colleague all night, will destroy us too! ....

The 38th General Chapter of the Company of Mary opened this morning in the splendid setting of the retreat house of the Passionist Fathers in Rome. After the innumerable round trips to Fiumicino airport by Brother Désiré and the other members of the Generalate, we were almost complete this morning....
