Today again, we lived a very intense day which passionately involved all the members of the chapter. Putting aside the work on the "Acts of the Chapter", the assembly received three very engaging information:
1) The work of the commission "For the protection of minors and vulnerable persons". Fr. Wismick presented the work accomplished during the last six years in continuity of what has already been done in the previous administration. He concluded by urging the assembly on a concrete proposal: in the general curia there should be an office that helps the Superior General (last responsible) in this field.
2) Fr. Luizinho illustrates the steps in view of the new foundation in Vietnam. A very propitious, albeit difficult, situation. Currently, there are two confreres who, with a tourist permit, are learning the language and becoming familiar with the local reality.
3) Fr. Marco presents the situation of the Vice-Province of France to raise awareness of the need for "Montfortian places" not as mere guardians of historical monuments, but rather as poles of irradiation of our spirituality.
It must be said that the discussion on these three realities was very passionate and engaging but also very respectful of the different points of view. After dinner at the suggestion of the General, an evening of community recreation by viewing slide shows on the representations of Montfort all over the world.
