On the occasion of the Tercentenary of the Brothers of Saint Gabriel and of the death of St. Louis Marie de Montfort (1716-2016), the Daughters of Wisdom, Brothers of St Gabriel and the Montfort Missionaries in the Philippines gathered together for the first time last February 6, 2016 for the ‘Montfortian Vocation Day’ at the Montfort Technical Institute, New Washington, Aklan.
The aim of the activity is to make St. Louis Marie de Montfort known to the youth of today. The life of Montfort and the mission of the three congregations were presented, canticles were recited through poetry reading by the Montfort Technical Institute students and SMM priest, and hymns were sung by the DW sisters. The activity ended by a Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Benjie, SMM.
A special thank you to the Saint Gabriel Brothers for their warm welcome, their commitment in inviting the youth from different organizations in the area and the active participation of their teachers and students.
