Members of the Tercentenary committee wished that the logo be simple so as to be easily recognized and easily reproduced in both colour and black and white.
- The main element is the silhouette of Montfort walking. This symbolizes both his incessant work as a missionary of the Good News, and his own spiritual pilgrimage towards full communion with Christ, Eternal Wisdom, in the faith and humility of Mary.
- Another element are the lines swirling around Montfort. They express the desire that the tercentenary be both a memorial of the past, but also a thrust forward towards a renewed commitment in our missionary work and into new projects into which we feel called in these times.
- Lastly, the lettering states the basic facts of the tercentenary: the person (Montfort) and the two dates.
We thank all those who helped with their suggestions and especially Sister Claudette Danis, FDLS, who finalized the project.
